2009 Labor Awards Breakfast Raises Thousands
to Benefit the Boston Minuteman Council of the Boy Scouts of America
Ronald "Jay" Hansen, Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, receives George Meany AwardThe Boston Minuteman Council of the Boy Scouts of America hosted their 2009 Labor Awards Breakfast on Friday June 12th at 7:30 AM. The event raised $30,000 from labor unions to benefit the Boston Minuteman Council which serves nearly 14,000 Boy Scouts in the Greater Boston area. The funds raised will go towards the costs of programs such as "Learning for Life" which serves both boys and girls in inner cities and economically challenged areas.
