COPE Political Roundtable

The COPE (Comittee On Political Education) Political Roundtable is held once a month on the third Thursday of the month from October - November and January - June at the Massachusetts Archives Building in Boston. Join fellow politically active members of the Massachusetts Labor Movement in a discussion on the present and future of labor's political program in the Commonwealth.

  • The next COPE Political Roundtable will be on Thursday March 18, 2010 at 1:30pm. This month’s Political Roundtable will provide a detailed update on all of the Labor Votes taken by the State Legislature so far this session. We will be taking a close look at several important roll calls and the new recalculated Labor Voting Records for 2007 – 2010 upon which endorsements are based. The Labor Voting Record threshold for endorsement of incumbents is 75%. As we rapidly approach a very busy election season many legislators are beginning to court labor for our endorsement; this Roundtable will be a good opportunity to see if these legislators are even eligible.
