CORI Reform Now! Public Hearing on CORI
07/27/2009 - 1:00pm WHAT: CORI REFORM NOW! PUBLIC HEARING ON CORI WHEN: MONDAY, JULY 27, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm State House, Gardener Auditorium
WHY: Have you or someone you know been denied a job or housing because of a criminal record? Do you or someone you know have a CORI? Do you agree that the CORI system is broken and should be reformed? If so, Join us at the State House to push for CORI Reform in 2009. The time for change is now! Having a CORI keeps motivated and qualified workers out of jobs, reliant on public assistance, and in many cases, back in prison. CORI reform is needed to give individuals who have made a mistake in the past a second chance for their future.
HOW: You can help make a change, contact your legislator today! 1. To find out who your elected officials are, click here. 2. Call the State House at (617) 722-2000 and ask to speak to your elected official. 3. Tell them you are a constituent and that you support CORI reform, NOW!
