June COPE Political Roundtable BBQ Kicks Off the Summer

On Thursday, June 19^th, the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Political Roundtable held its’ annual
summer BBQ at the Massachusetts Archives. Politically active brothers and sisters from the Massachusetts Labor Movement, Labor Leaders, and political dignitaries gathered on the lawn to reflect over the political and legislative victories of the past few months, and look to the challenging political tasks that lie ahead.

Among the attendees were John Walsh and Stacey Monahan from the Massachusetts Democratic Party, Rep. Marty Walsh, Rep. Stephen Stat Smith, Rep. Tom Calter, and Rep. Joe Driscoll.

Marty WalshPresident Haynes thanked everyone for mobilizing their membership around the Massachusetts AFL-CIO’s political program this year and encouraged all to show up in New Hampshire for a Labor to Labor Walk on Saturday, June 21^st in  New Hampshire to talk with union members about the Employee Free Choice Act.
