No intimidation there

I have a hard time believing your reporter was present in Everett when MWRA workers arrived to perform maintenance inside a manhole (“Police union protests block 2 detail-free work sites,” Oct. 4). What I saw were police officers staging a legal and protected informational picket to protest both a violation of their collective bargaining agreement and a flagger-measure they believe will jeopardize safety.

No one chased any workers away. No one was surrounded by angry police union members.
