Script for phone calls to legislators

After you send a letter to your legislator, it is useful to follow-up with a phone call. Below is a phone script you can use when calling them. 

Phone Script for Follow-Up Calls 

Hi, my name is XXXXXXXX XXXX and I am an active voter and resident of XXXXXXXX.  Recently I sent you  a letter about why my family strongly supports expanded gaming in Massachusetts.   We know that these destination resort casinos will bring about high-quality economic development while creating new sources of public revenues, and create tens of thousands of family-sustaining construction and permanent jobs, jobs that are sorely needed during these difficult economic times.

I hope you received my letter and have had time to review it, as I believe expanded gaming in the Commonwealth to be the biggest issue facing our state this year. The proposal offers a meaningful opportunity for Massachusetts residents to improve our lives, and I hope you consider the hundreds of thousands of working families who will benefit from the passage of this proposal when you are voting on it.
