SAMPLE EMAIL/LETTER FROM CONSTITUENT TO LEGISLATORS
SAMPLE EMAIL/LETTER FROM CONSTITUENT TO LEGISLATORS Dear Legislator, I write today to ask you to favorably report Governor Patrick’s destination resort casino proposal out of your Joint Standing Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies.
As you may know, this is a crucial time for working men and women in Massachusetts. Working families are confronted with the stresses of fighting for our livelihoods on a daily basis – whether it be our jobs, our wages or our health insurance. The destination resort casinos proposal will go a long way towards fostering sustainable economic development. This proposal deserves to be reported out of your Committee favorably. Furthermore, the Legislature owes it to the citizens of the Commonwealth to then take a roll call vote on the destination resort casino proposal in the General Court. This proposal has far too many benefits to be discarded in your Committee, and not given a democratic vote in the Legislature. I hope you think of the hundreds of thousands of working families across the Commonwealth who will benefit from this proposal when you are making your recommendations in the Joint Standing Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies. Sincerely, (FIRST NAME) (LAST NAME)
