In Support of Executive Council Seat Contingency
WHEREAS, there exists the potential to affiliate a limited number of large unions between the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Constitutional Conventions; and
WHEREAS, the Massachusetts AFL-CIO is restricted to a set number of "at large" Executive Council seats; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Executive Council be empowered to appoint no more than two Executive Council seats to any union that affiliates more than 10,000 members; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO will transmit a copy of this resolution and other information to all relevant parties to demonstrate its commitment to planning for Executive Council seat contingency.
