Join the Plymouth-Bristol CLC and State Senator Marc Pacheco in Collecting Toys for the Families of Local Troops
Plymouth-Bristol Central Labor Council - AFL-CIO
We are writing to ask for the participation of your local by joining with us as we provide toys for the families of our local soldiers; those who are deployed and those who have returned. We are working with the state and local veteran's agents to identify the families in need. The need in our area is tremendous. We would like you to display our poster in your office, e-mail our flyer to your stewards and distribute it on your job sites for those who would like to provide a toy or make a contribution. The contributions will go towards sports equipment or video games for the older children or supermarket gift certificates for holiday dinners. The response so far has been truly amazing. Locals collecting toys include nurses, postal workers, building trades locals, police and fire departments, transportation workers and grocery workers to name a few. We would also like to invite you to our party on December 8th to meet some of our families. We will have a DJ, a sports memorabilia raffle, a cash bar, local politicians and perhaps an early visit from the North Pole. Please bring the banner from your local to display with others who have generously contributed to make this a huge success. The party will take place on December 8th at the Brockton Shaws Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feel free to contact us for more posters, flyers, drop off locations, toy pickups, or any other question you may have. Thank you in advance. Sincerely,
Kathleen Manson, President Mark Flaherty, Secretary/Treasurer 508-816-5019 617-899-9627
