After five days on strike, members of UFCW Local 1445 at Angelica Textile in Somerville have overwhelmingly ratified a fair contract that addresses their wage and benefit requests.

About 450 laundry workers at Angelica textile in Somerville went out on strike on Thursday, December 10th after working without an agreement for over a week with no extension. On Friday, December 11th, dozens of supporters joined hundreds of Angelica workers to walk the picket line in the bitter cold. Workers picketed through the weekend and on Monday, with an agreement being ratified early on Tuesday morning.

Congratulations to the members of UFCW Local 1445 who fought for and won a fair contract at Angelica Textile, and thank you to all of the supporters who stood with them on the picket line since the strike began.
