Community Labor United (CLU) invites brothers and sisters of the labor movement as well as community memebers and allies to attend their 12th annual fundraiser. This year's fundraiser will be a celebration of community, supporters, and the recipients of CLU's annual Salt of the Earth Awards.

The Salt of the Earth Awards recognize individuals and organizations who have demonstrated an ongiong commitment to improving the lives of working class families in Greater Boston and throughout the Commonwealth. Recipients this year include Tyrek Lee, Executive Vice President of SEIU 1199, the Boston Ujima Project, the greater Boston Community Land Trust Network, and the women of the Policy Group on Tradeswomens' Issues (PGTI); accepting that award will be Mary Vogel from Building Pathways, Liz Skidmore from the Carpenters Union and Susan Moit one of the original founders of PGTI.

Over the last ten years, CLU has accomplished its mission through coalition building, research and policy development, public education, and grassroots mobilization; all of which are dependent upon the continued support of all their unions and friends. To continue this work CLU hopes you will join them, donate, and enjoy a fun evening.
