The union contract for 2,000 32BJ security officers in Boston and Cambridge expired on June 30 without a new tentative agreement. The union proposed a plan for security officers to have quality affordable health care with no premiums or deductibles. Not only have the employers rejected their plan, they put forth their own proposal to increase current health care premiums. They also have yet to offer a fair wage increase. With security officers already struggling to afford the current premiums on the wages they make now and many relying on MassHealth to get by, the contractors' proposal is unacceptable.

Join us this Thursday to support security officers who are fighting for quality affordable health care and fair wage increases to support their families!
