Roxbury BTU/BEJA joint community contract forum
The 10,000 members of the Boston Teachers Union greatly value the joint advocacy with families, students and community allies in our fight for quality public education in Boston. We know we have to stand together to win the schools all of our Boston students deserve.
The current Boston Teachers Union contract with the Boston School Committee will expire at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. We will begin our next round of negotiations by the end of this year for a successor agreement. As we prepare for our negotiations, we want to make sure our family, student and community allies also have an opportunity to weigh in on the issues we prioritize.
We hope you will take some time to share your thoughts! Input from families, students and community members is an important part of preparing for negotiations with the city and school committee.
All community parents, families, members and partners are welcome to join BTU for either community forum:
1) Dorchester/Mattapan community contract forum on Monday, December 11th from 5:30-8 pm (dinner will be served at 5:30) at Mildred School (5 Mildred Ave, Mattapan).
2) Roxbury BTU/BEJA joint community contract forum on Tuesday, December 19th from 5:30-8 pm (dinner will be served at 5:30) at Madison Park School, Cardinal Hall (75 Malcolm X, Blvd, Roxbury).
