Stand with UMass Lowell Adjunct Faculty

UMass Lowell adjunct faculty have been working under an expired contract for two years and are fighting for parity in pay and benefits with the rest of the adjuncts in the UMass system, who perform exactly the same work. UML adjuncts are the only adjuncts in the UMass system who get no health insurance or retirement benefits through the state employee system (“GIC”). State employees are not eligible for Social Security/Medicare. Adjuncts at all the other campuss who teach a minimum of 2 courses per semester are eligible for GIC benefits.
