Labor Strikes Back!

2018 has been dubbed the “year of the strike.” Nearly 500,000 workers were out on the streets - more than any year since 1986. From strikes and lockouts to the government shutdown, workers are rising up.

What can we learn from the front lines as we prepare for our next contract campaigns? How will growing public support for unions and mass worker mobilization shift the labor movement’s strategies and actions? Are we ready to mobilize and build on the momentum?

Featuring keynote speaker, Jane McAlevey, organizer, scholar, and author of “No Shortcuts: Organizing for Power in the New Gilded Age.”

Don’t miss the Wednesday evening clambake and second Annual “Moth” Story Telling contest!
