The Massachusetts AFL-CIO is sad to learn of the passing of Rosalie “Rose” Faherty. Rose was a long time Utility Workers labor leader and wife of former Massachusetts AFL-CIO President, Joseph C. Faherty. Mrs. Faherty passed away on Saturday, January 4th. A viewing for friends and family is scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street in Woburn from 4-8 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at St. Charles Church, 260 Main St in Woburn at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalie’s name to the Alzheimers Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to Cops For Kids with Cancer, Inc., PO Box 850953 Braintree, MA 02185.
