Join us for a Day of Solidarity Picket in support of Stop & Shop workers!
31,000 Stop and Shop workers across New England continue to be on strike. Stop and Shop has been pushing a regressive contract that attacks employee wages, benefits, and pensions at the same time as they are raking in record profits. Facing a contract full of concessions, UFCW leadership across 5 locals have decided to declare a strike. Our brave brothers and sisters are standing up to corporate greed that seeks cuts to their pay, health care, and benefits. Let’s show workers that we support their bid for a fair contract by showing up in force at the picket lines of three of the most profitable Stop & Shop stores!
Solidarity Pickets will take place Thursday April 18th at either of these three Stop & Shop locations - Northampton, Liberty St. in Springfield, or Merrill Rd. in Pittsfield. Solidarity pickets are scheduled for noon in Northampton and 5:30pm in Pittsfield and Springfield.
